In keeping with our general aim of developing the whole person, sport and physical education are considered important aspects of the School Curriculum.

All children are encouraged and motivated to participate in sports, physical education and health programs.  In competitive sport, it is our aim to encourage participation, team spirit and enjoyment rather than winning.

SPORTS TEAMS

On enrolment in the school, children are placed in Sport Teams – Chisholm (Red), MacKillop (Gold), Polding (Blue), Marcellin (Green).  These teams enjoy a friendly rivalry in school sporting events. Swimming,

REPRESENTATIVE SPORT

Students in Years 3-6 have the opportunity to participate in diocesan gala days in AFL, Soccer, Netball, Basketball, Cricket, Rugby League and Rugby Union. The three major school carnivals, Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics, also act as trials for school teams to participate in Diocesan carnivals.  From here, successful students can trial for selection in Mackillop (NSW Catholic Schools) teams, which can lead to State (PSSA), and ultimately, National teams.Students talented in a variety of Winter and Summer (team and individual) sports can also trial for selction in Mackillop teams and follow the same selection path as above.

STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES are also included in all major school carnivals and have the opportunity to qualify to participate in Diocesan Carnivals and if successful MacKillop teams.
